Linkou District, New Taipei City – The First Engineering Branch Office has announced nightly closures of the northbound main lanes between kilometer markers 41k+700 and 40k+300 in Linkou District section, as well as the northbound on-ramp at Linkou Interchange B on Freeway 1. The closures are required for steel beam hoisting of a new ramp overpass bridge.
The closures will be carried out in 3 phases:
• Wednesday, October 15
• Monday, October 20 to Tuesday, October 21
• Monday, October 27 to Tuesday, October 29
Each closures will take place nightly from 10 pm to 6 am the following morning.
Detour information
Traffic control measures and a detour map are attached for reference.
1. Northbound motorists on Freeway 1 are advised to exit at the Interchange A and use Guishan 1st Rd., a local road running parallel to freeway, to reach Interchange A.
2. Motorists who normally enter northbound Freeway 1 via Linkou Interchange B should instead use the northbound on-ramp at Linkou Interchange A in advance.
Traffic Advisory
Motorists should expect delays and are strongly encourage to use alternate routes. Please note that night construction schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen site issues.
Drivers traveling northbound through the Linkou section of Freeway 1, or planning to use the Linkou Interchange B on-ramp, are advised to complete their trips before 10 pm to avoid congestion and delays.
