Traffic News：Two-night Closure of All Southbound Lanes on Wuyang Elevated Freeway
Zhongli Distric in Taoyuan City – The First Engineering Branch Office has announced a scheduled two-night close of all southbound elevated lanes on Freeway 1, between the Wugu Intermediate Transfer Connection and the Zhongli Intermediate Transfer Connection, for the installation of new traffic signs.
This work is part of the Zhongfeng Interchange Construction and Mainlines Coordination Improvement Project. The closure will take place from Tuesday, Nov. 25, through Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, between 11 pm and 6 am. Each morning by 6 am, all lanes will be reopened to traffic.
Detour Information--A traffic control and detour map is attached.
1. Vehicles traveling Southbound on the elevated Freeway1 should exit to the ground-level lanes via the WuGu Interchange for detour.
2. Vehicles travelling Eastbound on Freeway 2 and connecting to the Southbound Freeway1 through the Airport System Interchange should use the ground-level main lanes of Freeway1 as a detour.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes whenever possible. All construction schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions or other construction related issues.
