Nightly Closures at Wugu Interchange Exit Ramp to Highway 64

Wugu District, New Taipei City – The First Engineering Branch Office has
announced long-term nightly closures of the southbound exit ramp at Wugu
Interchange Freeway 1 connecting to Highway 64. The closures are required for
the ongoing overpass bridge widening construction above the ramp.
The ramp will be closed from Monday Nov. 24 through Thursday Dec. 4,
between 11 pm and 6 am every night except weekends and holidays.
Construction work will include dismantling the overpass bridge deck formwork,
concrete pouring, pavement works and road marking. The closures are necessary
to ensure traffic safety during the project, according to the construction team.
Detour information-Traffic control measures and a detour map are attached.
Motorists heading toward Bali and Xindian Districts via the southbound exit
ramp at Wugu Interchange can use the left-hand side exit ramp toward Ziqian
Road, continue on the ground-level road, proceed straight to Section 3,
Zhongxing Road, and then turn right to access Highway 64 via the Wugu 2nd
Interchange.
Traffic Advisory
Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes.
The nightly work schedule maybe adjusted due to weather condition or other
construction factors.
The Construction Crew remind drivers who is planning on travel through the
southbound exit ramp at the Wugu Interchange of Freeway 1 during the construction
period are advised to complete their trips before 11 pm to avoid the
closure. All drivers must approach the Wugu Interchange with caution and follow
traffic signs or on-site personnel instructions to ensure safety.
