Night closure all northbound traffic lanes on Freeway 1 between Linkou Interchange and Wugu Interchange

The First Engineering Branch Office said that it will schedule to close all northbound ground level lanes on Freeway 1 from Linkoou Interchange to Wugu Interchange, and also close northbound Taishan Intermediate Transfer off-ramp connection Xizhi-Yangmei elevated viaduct, for traffic gantry hoisting in Taishan section.
Wugu District, in New Taipei City – The northbound ground lever traffic lanes between Linkoou Interchange and Wugu Interchange, and northbound Taishan Intermediate Transfer off-ramp connection to Xizhi-Yangmei elevated viaduct of Freeway 1 will be closed from Tuesday through Wednesday, Jul 29 to Jul 30, 2025, 11 pm to 6 am overnight each night, for the new traffic gantry hoisting in Taishan section. The closure will be done to work on the traffic safety, said the construction crew.

1. We suggest motorists from Linkou District heading to Wugu District should take the local for detour, Northbound direction vehicles on ground level Freeway 1 should exit at Linkou Interchange B then also take the local road for detour as well.
2. The Xizhi-Yangmei elevated viaduct of Freeway 1 is still open for traffic, drivers may keep on that viaduct pass through the closure section for detour.
3. Drivers northbound from Taoyuan City to Taipei City are strongly suggest use Highway 66 which connect with Freeway 1 from Pingzhen System Interchange or Freeway 2 which connect with Freeway 1 at Airport System Interchange for detour to your destination.
Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes. The night work is subject to change due to weather or construction related issues.
The Construction Crew remind drivers who is planning on going northbound through that closure section of Freeway 1 at that night. Best travel before 11 pm to avoid the traffic closure. All drivers must approach the Wugu Interchange area with care, and follow the instructions of the traffic sign or the traffic controller to ensure safe drive.
