Traffic News：Nightly Closure of Freeway 1 Northbound Zhongli Intermediate Transfer On-ramp
Zhongli Distric, Taoyuan City – The First Engineering Branch Office has announced the scheduled nightly closure of the northbound elevated viaduct lanes on Freeway1, between the Zhongli Intermediate Transfer On-Ramp and the Airport System Interchange, for crews to remove the old traffic signs steel frame and to set up a new. The closure will be in effect from Tuesday, September 9, through Thursday, September 11, 2025, nightly between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. the following morning. This closure is necessary to ensure construction safety and improve overall traffic conditions.
Motorists traveling northbound on the Freeway 1 Xizhi–Yangmei Elevated Road toward Taoyuan International Airport and Taipei are reminded to merge left and use the ground-level lanes to reach their destinations.
Detour Information – Traffic control measures will be implemented, and a detour map is provided (see attached diagram). Vehicles heading to the northbound Airport System Interchange via the elevated viaduct should detour to the ground-level Freeway 1 through the Zhongli Intermediate Transfer Connection.
