Traffic News：Nightly Closure of Northbound Main Lanes in Linkou District and Northbound On-Ramp at Linkou Interchange B

Guishan District, Taoyuan City – The First Engineering Branch Office has announced that the northbound main lanes of Freeway 1 between kilometer markers 41k+700 and 40k+300 in Guishan District section, as well as the northbound on-ramp at Linkou Interchange B, will be closed nightly from Monday, February 2, through Tuesday, February 3, 2026, between 10 pm and 6 am each night, 2026, to facilitate steel structure coating work on the newly constructed on-ramp. The construction team noted that the closure is necessary to ensure traffic safety.

Detour information
Traffic control measures and a detour map are attached for reference.
1. Northbound motorists on Freeway 1 are advised to exit at the off-ramp at Linkou Interchange B or A and use Guishan 1st Rd., a local road running parallel to freeway, to re-enter Freeway 1 via the on-ramp at Interchange A.
2. Motorists who normally enter northbound Freeway 1 via Linkou Interchange B should instead use the northbound on-ramp at Linkou Interchange A.
Traffic Advisory
Motorists should expect delays and are strongly encourage to use alternate routes. Please note that night construction schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen site circumstances.
Drivers traveling northbound through the Linkou section of Freeway 1, or planning to use the Linkou Interchange B on-ramp, are advised to complete their trips before 10 pm to avoid congestion and delays.
All drivers are urged to approach the Linkou interchange area with caution, and follow posted signs and comply with traffic controllers’ instructions to ensure safe travel.
