Traffic News：Night closure southbound exit ramp and Southbound entrance-loop ramp at Wugu Interchange of Freeway 1
Wugu District, in New Taipei City – The First Engineering Branch Office said on Friday, May 2, 2025, it is due to the steel structure beam erection on the overpass ramp across Xinwu road, it will schedule closures with Wugu Interchange of Freeway 1's southbound exit ramp heading to Taishan District, Xinzhuang District, and southbound entrance ramp. Furthermore, the Expressway 65 between Taishan Interchange and Wugu End, and strech all direction of the ground level Xinwu Road between Fengjiang Road and Ziqiang Road will closed as well.
The road closures will commence from Wednesday through Thursday, May 7 to May 8, 2025, 11 pm to 6 am overnight each night, and the closure will be done to work on the traffic safety, said the construction crew.

1. For motorists traveling on the southbound exit-ramp of Freeway 1 heading to Taishan District and Xinzhuang District, can use the left handside exit-ramp bound for Wugu District, then go straight on Xinwu Rd. to Zhongxing Rd., turn left, and go southbound Chengtai Rd. (Figure 1)
2. For vehicles on northbound Xinwu Rd. heading to southbound on-ramp of Freeway 1, please turn to Fengjiang Rd. in advance and turn right to Mingzhi Rd. to go north and then use Wugu Interchange 2 of Expressway 64 to enter the Freeway 1. (Figure 1)
3. For vehicles entering Freeway 1 from northbound of Expressway 65 should take the Taishan Interchange's exit ramp to Xinwu Rd. onadvance, then keep right hand side lane to the northbound on-ramp of Wugu Interchange to enter Freeway 1. (Figure 1)
4. For vehicles in both direction on Xinwu Rd. between Fengjiang Rd.and Ziqiang Rd., please use Mingzhi Rd. and Chengtai Rd. as alternative route. (see Figure 2).

The northbound exit ramp heading to Taishan District as well as to Expressway 64 at Wugu Interchange of Freeway 1 remain opening. Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternative routes. The night work is subject to change due to weather or construction related issues.
The Construction Crew remind drivers who is planning on going through northbound exit ramp at the Wugu Interchange of Freeway 1 at that night. Best travel before 11 pm to avoid the traffic closure. All drivers must approach the Wugu Interchange area with care, and follow the instructions of the traffic sign or the traffic controller to ensure safe drive.
