Traffic News: Nightly Closures of Freeway 1 Southbound Off-ramp at Wugu Interchange toward Taishan, Xinzhuang, and Highway 台65

Wugu District, New Taipei City – The First Engineering Branch Office announced that the southbound off-ramp at the Wugu Interchange of Freeway 1, connecting to Taishan, Xinzhuang, and Highway 台65, will be closed for a long term consecutive nights due to the ongoing overpass widening project above the ramp. The closures will take place nightly from Monday, September 15, through Thursday, October 9, between 11 pm and 6 am except weekends and holidays.
Construction work will include dismantling bridge barriers, installing bridge deck formwork, concrete pouring, paving, and pavement marking. According to the construction crew, these closures are necessary to ensure traffic safety during the project.
Detour information -Traffic control measures and a detour map are provided.
Motorists traveling southbound on Freeway 1 and intending to exit at Wugu Interchange toward Taishan, Xinzhuang, or Highway 台65 may instead use the right-hand exit ramp toward Wugu and Highway 台64, then proceed to Xinwu Road at ground level. From there, continue straight to the Zhongxing Road intersection and make a U-turn to reach their destinations.
Drivers should anticipate delays and are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes. Please note that the work schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions or other construction-related factors
The construction crew remind motorists who plan to use the Wugu Interchange southbound off-ramp on Freeway 1 during the closure period to adjust their travel schedules. Traveling before 11 pm is recommended to avoid the closure. All drivers are urged to approach the interchange with caution and follow the on-site personnel instructions to ensure safe passage.
