Traffic News: Nightly Closure Of Highway 64 Viaduct to Freeway 1 Northbound On-Ramp at Wugu Interchange
Wugu District, New Taipei City – The First Engineering Branch Office announced a scheduled long-term nightly closure of the northbound on-ramp connecting Highway 64 viaduct to Freeway 1 at Wugu Interchange for the adjusting steel box girders of the crossover bridge widening project above the ramp.
The closure will take place every nightly from Monday, October 27 through Thursday, November 6, 2025, between 11 pm and 6 am except weekend and holiday.

Traffic control measures and a detour map are attached for reference.
1. Motorists traveling from Luzhou District to Freeway 1 northbound via Yong-An Bridge should take Zhongxing Road, turn left onto Xinwu Road, and use the northbound on-ramp at Wugu Interchange to enter Freeway 1.
2. Motorists on Highway 64 heading to Freeway 1 northbound should exit at the second Wugu Interchange, descending to ground-level Zhongxing Road, turn left onto Xinwu Road, and then use the northbound on-ramp at Wugu Interchange to enter Freeway 1.
3. Motorists from the Taishan area, should use Xinwu Road to access the on-ramps at the Wugu Interchange to Freeway 1.
4. Drivers on the connection viaduct between Highway 64 and Freeway 1 who miss the ground-level exit should continue to the Freeway 1 southbound on-ramp, travel to Linkou Interchange, and then return to Freeway 1 northbound.
Motorists should expect delays and are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes. Night construction schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
Additionally, drivers planning to use the northbound on-ramp at Wuug Interchange via the Highway 64 viaduct are advised to complete their travel before 11 pm to avoid potential congestion or delays.
