Traffic News: Nightly Closure of Eastbound Off-Ramp at Dazhu Interchange Toward Luzhu and Eastbound On-Ramp from Highway 31 to Freeway 2
Luzhu District, Taoyuan City – The First Engineering Branch Office of the Freeway Bureau has announced that the eastbound off-ramp at Dazhu Interchange on Freeway No. 2 leading to Luzhu and the eastbound on-ramp from Highway 31 to Freeway No. 2 will be closed nightly from June 8 to June 11, 2026 (Monday through Thursday), between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. the following day, to facilitate construction works for the “Freeway No. 2 Dazhu Interchange Improvement Project.”
The closure is required to carry out the demolition of the existing bridge deck concrete and bridge parapets as part of the widening works for the westbound off-ramp toward Qingpu. During the same period, the contractor will also install a protective platform for the steel box girder overpass crossing the eastbound mainline of Freeway No. 2. To ensure construction safety, certain lanes on the eastbound mainline of Freeway No. 2 may be subject to temporary traffic control measures near the work zone. Motorists are advised to follow traffic control personnel and roadway signs.

1. For vehicles traveling eastbound on Freeway No. 2 toward Luzhu: After exiting at Dazhu Interchange, keep right and follow the ramp toward Qingpu. Proceed to the surface road and make a U-turn at the intersection of Highway 31 and Wufu Road, then continue northbound on Highway 31 toward Luzhu.
2. For vehicles traveling eastbound on Freeway No. 2 toward Airport System Interchange: Motorists passing through the Dazhu Interchange area should be aware of lane reductions on the mainline and are advised to slow down and proceed cautiously in accordance with on-site traffic control measures.
3. For vehicles traveling southbound on Highway 31 intending to enter eastbound Freeway No. 2: Continue toward Qingpu and make a U-turn at the Wufu Road intersection. Then proceed northbound on Highway 31 and enter Freeway No. 2 via the eastbound entrance ramp.
Traffic Advisory
Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and to use alternate routes whenever possible and best to complete their trips before 10 pm to avoid the traffic closure. All construction schedules may be subjected due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
