Nightly Closure of Northbound On-Ramp at Wugu Interchange on Freeway 1 (Xinwu Road Access)

Wugu District, New Taipei City – The First Engineering Branch Office announced that the northbound on-ramp at the Wugu Interchange on Freeway 1 (Xinwu Road Access), will be subject to long-term nightly closures to facilitate new northbound ramp pavement works and road marking.
The closure will take place from 11 pm to 6 am the following morning, August 17-27, excluding weekends and holidays, for construction. Motorists are advised to follow the designated detour routes. The project team stated that the traffic control measures are necessary to maintain safety during construction.

Motorists traveling northbound toward Freeway 1 via Highway 65 and Xinwu Road are advised to take the southbound direction on Xinwu Road and enter Penglai Road on-ramp of the Wugu Interchange, then keep left to continue northbound.
Traffic Advisory
Drivers are advised to expect possible delays and are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternative routes. Construction schedules may be adjusted subject to weather conditions or operational requirements.
The construction team urges motorists who plan to use the affected ramp to complete their trips before 11 pm to avoid the closures. Drivers are also reminded to exercise caution and follow all traffic signs and instructions from on-site personnel.
