Dazhu District, Taoyuan City – The First Engineering Branch Office of the Freeway Bureau is carrying out the "Freeway 2 Dazhu Interchange Improvement Project," including the widening of the westbound exit ramp bridge toward Qingpu. To facilitate the installation of bridge girders and pouring of bridge deck concrete for the ramp bridge widening, the eastbound exit ramp toward Luzhu, the westbound exit ramp toward Qingpu, as well as the eastbound entrance ramp from southbound Provincial Highway 31 to Freeway 2 will be closed in phases from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning each night from August 31 through September 17, except weekends and holidays.
The construction team explained that the work must be carried out within a limited construction area. To minimize impacts on motorists, the closures will therefore be implemented in phases during nighttime off-peak hours.

1. August 31 through September 17: Motorists exiting westbound Freeway 2 at Dazhu Interchange and heading toward Qingpu should keep right after exiting and take the right-side ramp toward Luzhu. After descending to the at-grade section of Provincial Highway 31, make a U-turn at the Dazhubei Road intersection and continue southbound on Provincial Highway 31 toward Qingpu. See Figure 1.
2. September 7 through September 17: Motorists traveling southbound on Provincial Highway 31 who wish to enter Freeway 2 eastbound should continue toward Qingpu, make a U-turn at the Wufu Road intersection, and enter Freeway 2 eastbound via the northbound Provincial Highway 31 eastbound entrance ramp. See Figure 1. During this period, the outside lane and right shoulder of the eastbound mainline of Freeway 2 will also be closed in coordination with the construction work. Only the innermost lanes, Lanes 1 and 2, will remain open to traffic.
3. September 15: Motorists exiting eastbound Freeway 2 at Dazhu Interchange and heading toward Luzhu should keep right after exiting onto the at-grade section of Provincial Highway 31 toward Qingpu, continue to the Wufu Road intersection, make a U-turn, and proceed toward Luzhu. See Figure 2.
Traffic Advisory
Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and to use alternate routes whenever possible and best to complete their trips before 10 pm to avoid the traffic closure. All construction schedules may be subjected due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
The First Engineering Branch Office appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during the construction period and apologizes for any inconvenience caused. Motorists are encouraged to check traffic information in advance and follow the designated detour routes to help ensure a safe and efficient journey.
